Regional French Classic Desserts with Nick Malgieri

France is a country with many different regional cuisines. Bordering countries, climate, agriculture, and personal tastes create a unique terroir in each region that goes so far as even to influence its sweet baking and desserts.This class will showcase a selection of some of the classic pastries and desserts of France. Led by internationally celebrated pastry chef, teacher and author Nick Malgieri, this 3-hour class will be a truly exceptional opportunity to see a master in action and learn from one of the greats. We are so honored that he’ll be bringing his expertise and world-class skills to Provisions!


Mille-Feuille a la Parisienne: Crisp puff pastry layers filled with a light chocolate mousse

Tarte au Citron à la Niçoise: A lemon cream tart finished with lightly whipped cream

Le Grenoblois: A walnut layer cake filled with coffee and chocolate creams

Tarte Normande: Sweet pastry dough with delicately seasoned apples and a Calvados-scented custard cream

Pastis Béarnais: A moist anise-scented cake from Southwest France
