Marché is excited to welcome our dear neighbor and friend, Stephen Hagen, for a very special event. Proprietor and winemaker of Antiquum Farm in Junction City, Stephen’s approach to the vineyard is fascinating and unique– it’s a throwback to the days before modern winemaking, a time with no synthetic fertilizers or tractors. The entire vineyard is grazing-based: a team of draft horses is used to plow, flocks of trained sheep keep back the weeds, geese and chickens are both pest control and providers of natural fertilizers, and the benefits to the vineyard and its wholly natural program are evident in the rich, lush, otherworldly fruit growing there. Marché chef Rocky Maselli has designed a very special menu to pair with these wines at what promises to be a remarkable, intimate evening of wine, food and discussion with one of the wine world’s true visionaries. Join us, won’t you?
